The Villa dates from the mid-17th century, with a private chapel dedicated to Saint Blaise (Blasius) built c. 1740. It was the property of Count Borromeo, a relative of St. Charles Borromeo, and the center of a large agricultural economy until the twentieth century. In the 1960s and 1970s, it was home to the artist d'Acardi.
